Women Learn to Skate for Hockey
This program is designed for women who want to feel confident and comfortable on the ice while learning the skating skills needed to enjoy Canada’s favourite sport—hockey!
Skaters will learn and practice:
• Basic balance and proper posture on the ice
• Forward skating and controlled gliding
• Safe and effective stopping techniques
• Turning and basic edge control
• Introductory backward skating (as skills progress)
No prior skating experience is required. Classes are taught in a supportive, encouraging, and judgment-free environment, allowing women to learn at their own pace while building confidence step by step.
It’s never too late to learn—lace up and enjoy the freedom of skating.
