“iCanSK8”
iCanSK8 Program
Participants in the iCanSK8 program take part in 50–60 minute classes designed for skaters who have already developed strong basic skating skills. This advanced group is ideal for skaters who have mastered stopping and backward skating and are ready to progress to more complex techniques.
Skaters will learn and refine skills such as:
• Forward and backward crossovers
• Slalom skating
• Parallel stopping
• Figure skating–based movements and edge work
• Backward crossovers
Classes conclude with fun, creative movement sessions set to music, encouraging expression, rhythm, and confidence on the ice.
For the safety of all participants, CSA-approved hockey helmets are required, along with properly fitted hockey or figure skates. These requirements help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for every skater.
