“Little Steps” (Ages 3–5)
Duration: 30 minutes
The Little Steps program is designed especially for young skaters aged 3–5 years old. This 30-minute session introduces the basics of skating in a safe, fun, and encouraging environment.
Skaters learn how to:
Balance on two feet
Get up off the ice
Take small steps forward
Children are grouped according to age and ability, allowing each skater to progress comfortably at their own pace. Coaches provide guidance, demonstrations, and plenty of encouragement to help skaters gain confidence and develop their skills.
The program is designed to be positive and enjoyable, giving every child the chance to succeed while having fun on the ice. Once ready, skaters can move on to the iLearn to SK8 level, where more advanced skills such as balance, glide, and turns are introduced.
💡 Parent Tip: Is Your Child Ready to Skate?
Before stepping on the ice, try this simple home test:
👣 Can your child walk around the house wearing skates with skateguards?
🪑 Can they sit on the floor and get up again while wearing their skates?
If you can answer yes to both questions, your child is ready to try skating!
For more details, please visit the Parent Information Page under the Learn to SK8 dropdown menu.
