Learn to SK8
-
"Parent & Tot" (2-4 Years)
Parents join their preschoolers on the ice for this 30-minute program. This program is designed for children with no skating experience to introduce skaters to the ice. Each skater is required to have one adult accompany them during the class. The accompanying adult must support and assist their child.
Parents must wear a CSA-approved helmet if their skating level is below Stage 5 or equivalent.

"Little Steps" (3-5 Years)
The Little Steps is a 30-minute program that teaches skaters the basics: balancing on two feet, getting up off the ice, and taking small steps forward. Skaters are grouped according to level and age. The skaters are then allowed to practice these skills in a safe environment. Coaches provide instruction and encouragement to help them progress. The program is designed to be fun and positive, with skaters developing their skills at their own pace. Skaters can then progress to the Beginner level, where more advanced skills are taught. They may also move on to the next level of skating, where they can practice more advanced maneuvers.

"iLearn to SK8" (6 Years & up)
In the Youth 30-minute program, participants are split into beginner and intermediate groups. The beginner group focuses on mastering the fundamentals of skating, including balance, posture, forward and backward movement, and stopping. No previous experience is required to join this group.
For the safety of all participants, we require that everyone wear CSA-approved hockey helmets and either hockey or figure skates. This ensures that everyone can fully enjoy the program without any worries. -
"Advanced Youth SK8"
In the Advanced Youth Learn to Skate program, participants will have 50 to 60-minute classes. This advanced group is designed for skaters who have mastered stops and backward skating and are ready to learn advanced techniques such as cross-overs, slalom skating, parallel stopping, and backward circle thrusts.
For the safety of all participants, we require that everyone wears CSA-approved hockey helmets and either hockey or figure skates. This ensures that everyone can fully enjoy the program without any worries.
