At SK8 Georgian Bay, we're all about pushing the boundaries of skating excellence. With over 40 years of experience, Jan Hulme brings unparalleled passion and expertise to coaching skaters of all levels and disciplines, making us the premier destination for those aiming to elevate their skating skills.
Our core focus is on mastering fundamental techniques to enhance overall performance. We emphasize balance, power, agility, speed, and endurance through advanced skating methods.
Our classes offer a comprehensive training experience, typically lasting 50 to 80 minutes. Each session is a journey: starting with a stationary warm-up, progressing to a slow warm-up, followed by a skill review, and culminating in the introduction of various skating techniques. This meticulously designed curriculum, led by our expert instructors, ensures that skaters learn and refine their skills to gain a competitive edge for the upcoming season.
The time required to complete our six-level program varies based on age and ability. Motivated skaters who dedicate themselves to the training may progress more rapidly. Our program aims to develop a strong foundation of skills, preparing skaters for success at all levels of hockey. Throughout the program, SK8 Georgian Bay instructors provide continuous support and guidance, ensuring each skater reaches their full potential.

Skaters will be grouped first by age and then by skating level, allowing each skater the chance to progress and learn new skills. Each session will be supervised by experienced coaches, who will also provide individual feedback to help skaters improve.
