SK8 Georgian Bay is offering a Leadership Program for students aged 13-15.
The L.I.T program is a three weeks program over the summer of 2018.

• August 7-10 Overnight Wasaga Beach check-in Sunday @ 4:30 pm
• August 13-17 Overnight Wasaga Beach check-in Sunday @ 4:30 pm
• August 20-24 Overnight Wasaga Beach check-in Sunday @ 4:30 pm
• August 27-31 Overnight Wasaga Beach check-in Sunday @ 4:30 pm

WEEK 1 & 2

The check-in is Monday night 6 pm and sign-out Thursday at 4:30 pm.

July 3-5 & July 31 to August 2 will focus on Technical and Theory. All students will be together for week one & two in Wasaga Beach. Students will be instructed on the basics of what makes a good leader and how to become one. The 2018 L.I.T will be on the ice for 1.5 hours in the morning followed by planning and leading dryland. Lunch will be from 12-1pm. The SK8 Georgian Bay L.I.T. will be back on the ice from 1-2pm after the second ice time leaders will be working on planning games. Weeks 1 & 2 leaders will have a three great afternoon on the Nottawasaga River in Wasaga Beach with “Free Spirit” tours, trips to the beach and a fun night at Wasaga Go Karts.

WEEK 3 – Practical Week

Students will apply their recently learned skills in an actual camp setting. Week # 3 will be offered over four weeks in August. See dates below. Maximum of 2-5 leaders per week. If you have a preference for the practical week, please indicate this in your sign up information.


This program has been designed to help future leaders gain a solid knowledge base of what being a leader means. The tools shared in this course will not only give skills for those enrolled to work in a camp counselor/leadership role, but will also be carried with them throughout their life.
