Figure Skating Programs

The Figure Skating Program is designed to provide all skaters the opportunity to receive additional instruction, training methods and testing from our Certified School Professionals. This, along with the additional ice time, will allow for the improvement of their skating skills and possible advancement in their achievement levels prior to the commencement of fall schools or winter club sessions.

Permission in writing from the home club must be handed in with registration, for skaters trying tests or attending off - season school sessions.

Teen Canskate

This program offers the opportunity for Teens to learn how to skate without being on the ice with very young skaters. The Beginner Teen Skate program focuses on the development of six fundamental movements organized in six stages of learning, with an optional 7th level for skaters who want to move into figure skating. The skills are arranged in progressions, from very simple to the more complex. Each stage has a primary focus. Once the skills on each stage are mastered, a badge is awarded. The series of badges include Stage badges, Fundamental Movement badges and Fitness badges.

Parent & Tot Canskate

This is a great program for the little skater 2-4yrs who are not quite ready to skate without a parent. Little skaters will learn the basics of Stage One and prepare them to skate on their own in the Canskate program. The focus is having fun with music and toys.
